About Us

History
With no financial backing, Young Conservatives LLC was founded in May 2009 by Josh Riddle and David Rufful in their freshman dorm room at Dartmouth College. Today, the website is one of the largest in the country with over 26 million monthly unique readers and 75 million monthly page views. The site was ranked #61 by Quantcast in July 2015. The website has undergone four major revisions since its original creation.

Josh and David are now Ivy League graduates, former division one college basketball players and former editors of the preeminent conservative college newspaper, The Dartmouth Review. In defense of their conservative values, they have appeared on numerous television shows, including The O’Reilly Factor, TheBlaze TV, The Strategy Room, Fox & Friends, The Frank Pastore Show, Huckabee, The Big Picture with Thom Hartmann and HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher. Riddle and Rufful currently oversee all operations at Young Conservatives and actively participate in creating videos, writing articles, endorsing candidates, making media appearances and speaking at events.

Mission Statement

As defenders of freedom in our constitutional republic, it is our mission and duty to steer the country away from the false promises of progressivism and advocate a smaller government of moral absolutes and individual responsibility. In a technological era driven fiercely by the mainstream media, we believe that those who vocalize a true conservative message are slanted as intolerant, racist, bible and gun clinging, corporate fat cats who could not care less about the environment nor the well being of their fellow man. Young Conservatives offers articles and videos that prove otherwise. We have a mission to spread the love and logic surrounding true conservatism. In a day where conservatives are seen as close-minded and archaic, Young Conservatives bring a new perspective to a long-standing philosophy. Our generation will — one way or another — make decisions that will directly affect a rapidly aging and needy population and an exploding, unsustainable national debt. We feel the moral obligation to intervene against those who abandon our founding principles and embrace the comfortable, but deceptive ideals of moral relativism, victim identification and outcome equivalence. Instead of sinking into the assemblage of the self-satisfied, Young Conservatives challenges the hearts and minds of Americans with content that exposes the false promises of progressivism and the utopian state. This problem is real, and the fight for freedom has begun. What are you doing about it?
