Media has reported that President-elect Donald Trump has had trouble securing performers for the inauguration, that some big names like Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion had turned him down.
Trump said, however, it wasn’t Hollywood performers he wanted.
Perhaps it wouldn’t have a lot of Hollywood, but it most certainly will have the people.
According to Newsmax:
President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural parade will include over 8,000 participants and 40 organizations, Boris Epshteyn, director of communications for the inaugural committee told Fox News.
Epshteyn said the participants represent “the truly best of America.” He noted they include representatives from the New York police department, as well as the military.
Several veterans service organizations will also be joining in the parade, The Hill reports.
Epsheyn noted that it wasn’t a “summer jam concert” or Woodstock.
Here are some of the featured performers.
The Rockettes, all of whom will be volunteers, after some refused to perform.
The Talledega Marching Tornadoes from the historically black Talledega College.
Jackie Evancho, whose sales went up after she announced she would be attending.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
Other groups include a cross section including several college and high school bands, US Border Patrol Pipes & Drums, NYPD Emerald Society Pipes & Drums.
It may not be Hollywood, but it certainly is some of the ‘Best Of America’.
Great fun should be had by all…
