One problem that has been evident in the nascent administration of President Donald Trump is not a problem of his own making.
It’s the problem of apparent internal attacks and leaks from residual Obama administration holdovers.
One place where this has been especially problematic is in the State Department.
But new Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson is having none of it, he’s cleaning house.
From New York Post:
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is cleaning house at the State Department, according to a report.
Staffers in the offices of deputy secretary of state for management and resources as well as counselor were shown the door Thursday, according to CBS News.
Many of those let go were on the building’s seventh floor — top-floor bigs — a symbolically important sign to the rest of the diplomatic corps that their new boss has different priorities than the last one.
Four other officials were booted in January.
But many Clinton/Kerry folks were still there.
The more given the gate the better if they are going to be all about politics and not about the best interests of the United States.
We’ve seen enough of this nonsense with internal attacks from holdovers.
The job is hard enough as it is, without people trying to sabotage or impede Tillerson from doing his job.
