Republicans were sick of business as usual, so they sided with an outsider candidate in businessman Donald Trump.
Trump is now president-elect.
Everything worked out for Republicans as they took back the White House and kept both houses of Congress.
What did Democrats do?
Have they learned from their mistakes?
Nope. They voted to keep Rep. Nancy Pelosi as House Minority Leader.
Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, found it rather amusing…
From The Blaze:
Kellyanne Conway, the woman who led President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign to victory and is now his senior adviser, savagely roasted Democrats on Twitter Wednesday for re-electing Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) as the Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives.
House Democrats voted 134-64 in a closed-door meeting to re-install Pelosi as their leader, the caucus announced earlier in the day. The 76-year-old congresswoman has served as the top House Democrat since 2003, including a stint as speaker of the House from 2007-11.
But Pelosi’s win didn’t come without contention, mainly from Ohio’s Tim Ryan. And it was the irony of Democrats re-electing an older leader — despite facing huge losses in three of the last four national elections — that Conway poked fun at on Twitter.
What a relief. I was worried they had learned from the elections & might be competitive and cohesive again. https://t.co/cvwi0IxLdU

The only thing better for Republicans than Pelosi being re-elected would be hearing that Hillary Clinton plans to run for president in 2020.*
*Because she would lose – again.
