Today was the 139th Easter Egg Roll at the White House.
21,000 reportedly showed up with 18,000 eggs handed out.

As part of the event, the President, Melania and Barron sat with the kids and signed cards that were to go to the troops.
The First Lady and other members of the staff read stories to the kids.

But what did media like CNN concentrate on?
This moment where Melania appears to nudge her husband and he then puts his hand over his heart during the national anthem.

Which then sparked some on Twitter and in media to attack him.

Can you imagine if Michele had to nudge Pres Obama to remind him to put his hand over his heart? White people would have shit their pants. https://t.co/E297CcacDp

We're all forgetting that @realDonaldTrump doesn't have a heart, so he doesn't need to hold his hand over it.

You know they’re really scouring for things to ding him with when they have to pick on the fact that he didn’t immediately do it, but did it still even in the first line of the song.
But perhaps we should remind them of this picture of Barack Obama during the national anthem while he was campaigning for President in 2007.
Apparently no one felt inclined to nudge him and it didn’t occur to him. According to Obama he said he was taught by his grandfather that for the pledge of allegiance you put your hand over your heart and that for the anthem you sing. He doesn’t appear to be doing either in the picture.
