It looks like things might be heating up again in Ferguson, Missouri, as protesters and thugs threaten mass violence in the city if Officer Darren Wilson isn’t charged for the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Organizers of demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri, promised to intensify their protests over the killing of Michael Brown if the officer who shot him does not face criminal charges, warning police that they are prepared to die on the streets for their cause.

Three prominent members of the protest movement that sprung up after the deadly police shooting of Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old, told a rally in New York on Tuesday night that there would be a fierce backlash if a grand jury declined to indict officer Darren Wilson.

“If they can’t serve justice in this, the people have every right to go out and express their rage in a manner that is equal to what we have suffered,” said Ashley Yates, a co-founder of Millennial Activists United, who was arrested last week while protesting in Ferguson.

Yates spoke alongside Tef Poe and Tory Russell, activists for Hands Up United and the Organisation for Black Struggle, hours after it emerged that authorities in Missouri were making plans to deal with potential riots in the event of Wilson avoiding prosecution.

“We’re going to take our anger out on the people who have failed us, and if they are prepared to deal with that, then let them have at it,” said Yates. Poe said that while people in America often expected “casual revolution”, Ferguson may be “the moment when we can’t do that”.

Ferguson officials aren’t taking the threats lightly, as they’re preparing evacuation plans for residents should violence break out in the streets.

It’s sad the people of Ferguson have to live in fear of these race baiting thugs, praying for a man to be charged with a crime, whether or not he is guilty, just to feel safe. Much of the violence and emotionally charged rhetoric being spewed out by these protesters has been fueled by people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, men who make their living by stirring up tension and racial division.

This isn’t something that should be about race, but about right and wrong. A fair and objective investigation needs to be conducted to gather the facts and determine if what was done was a crime or not. It’s impossible to do that with all of the trumped up racial tension and violence going on. Hopefully, regardless of whether Officer Wilson is charged or not, cooler heads will prevail, and the citizens of Ferguson won’t be forced to endure more rioting and looting.

        Honestly, I don’t care about the other posts. I’m stating my opinions. I have many friends from nearly all races. They’re just people to me. I treat people like they treat me.         My three younger half-sisters are Asian. And yeah, I am speaking for them. I grew up in Dallas, and my sisters, and their Asian friends were constantly picked on, ridiculed, and bullied by African American students. Look online: the story is everywhere about how blacks treat Asians. So when I see my sisters and their friends dealing with, and then I hear about a national problem with the same thing happening… Yeah, I think I can make a general assumption.

    The problem is, everybody doesn’t have a fair chance. This isn’t my opinion, or the opinion of liberals or of blacks. This is fact. How many black people, how many women, do you see in positions of political or corporate power? The number certainly isn’t proportionate to the number that would be qualified if they were given an equal chance. And research has continually shown a shooter bias by police, in which cops of any race are more likely to shoot or violently act against black people. Black people are also more likely to be convicted of a crime than whites (accounting for the amount of evidence) and get harsher sentences for the same crimes. Again, these are facts.
    As an American who cherishes freedom and equality, I’m not okay with this. I’m also not okay with police of any race killing or terrorizing citizens of any race. That alone deserves to be protested. But peacefully, violence is never the answer.
    By the way, everything you said in your comment is, by definition, racist. I know because I studied racism and prejudice in graduate school.

Many years ago I took care of a young woman, helping her to get ready in the “am” to go to work and helping her in the “pm” for bed at night. I’ll call her Ashley. Ashley was wheelchair bound from the age of 7 until she died in her early 30’s.. Ashley slept with the aide of a machine at night, she had a tracheal, could only wash her face and hands, had to have someone to dress her, bath her, brush her teeth, oh yes and she went to a 4 year college and finished with honors. One more thing, she worked for the mayor’s action center in a large city in Tenn. This young lady never, ever, wanted to be on any kind of Social Services program. Wonderfully spirited young woman. Certainly made a great
        positive impact on my life.

Sorry to say most of what I have read today I could find in any book somewhere on this planet. Does anyone have a deeper thought or idea of the human blight?

THIs isnt about race you idiots its about law and order. If you bring it to the streets you and all your brothers will be slaughtered. Do you really think heavilly armed citizens will put up with your racist crap. We dont need the police or national guard the good people can deal with you.. get a job stay home with your family be a roll model for your children instead of running the streets you are the problem. Perhaps we will all get to show our, “We are all Officer Darren Wilson” side of us.

You know because when black people are assaulting you and trying to take your life, property and weapon, you shoot.

You shoot to stop the threat and in this case those protesters who wish to destroy white neighborhoods will get a taste of what it is like to experience life when white people really do wish you harm instead of imagined secret societies and secret collectives that make you sell drugs and go cause harm to your fellow people.

This stereotypical behavior is likely what got Michael Brown shot it the first place. When you are 6′-4″ and 300 pounds you can’t intimidate police without consequences. None of us were there but I suspect Mr. Brown ignored commands to stand-down and continued to approach until the officer felt his life was in danger. Ideally, Mr. Brown would have been tasered or pepper-sprayed but you can’t press pause in life to select the proper weapon and the fact that a 300 pound man was unarmed in no way proves he was not an imminent threat.
