One of the most compelling reasons to vote for Donald Trump was the fact that the next president is going to name the replacement for the great Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.
Not only that, it is believed that several appointments will be made over the next 4-8 years.
Trump was elected president and now the attention shifts to who is going to be named and when it is going to be announced.
Now we know…
BREAKING: President-elect Donald Trump says he expects to nominate new Supreme Court justice within two weeks of inauguration.
— The Associated Press (@AP) January 11, 2017
Speaking at his first press conference of 2017, President-elect Donald Trump said that he expects to announce his nominee for the Supreme Court within two weeks of Inauguration Day. This puts the timeline at early to mid February, nearly exactly a year after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
Alright. Good news.
Now we get to speculate about who it will be.
Here’s the list he promised to choose from….
From Business Insider:
4. Allison Eid
5. Neil Gorsuch
9. Joan Larsen
10. Mike Lee
11. Thomas Lee
12. Edward Mansfield
13. Federico Moreno
14. William Pryor
15. Margaret A. Ryan
16. Amul Thapar
18. David Stras
19. Diane Sykes
20. Don Willett

Trump is going to stack the Supreme Court with as many conservatives as possible.
