Toxi Lahren kicked up a big storm this week by revealing that she was pro-choice.
She was immediately called out by many within the conservative community.
From Biz Pac Review:
Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren may soon be out at the Blaze amid uproar over her pro-abortion comments.
Lahren, 24, quickly became a rising star after the Blaze gave her own show in November 2015. She has since made numerous guest appearances on Fox News and even appeared on “The View” on March 17, where she stunned the audience by revealing she’s pro-abortion.
Not only did she say she was pro-choice, but she appeared to attack conservatives.
Lahren also rankled conservatives by suggesting that pro-life conservatives are hypocrites (see video starting at 7:38):
“I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government, but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” she said.
Being for limited government doesn’t mean you are not for any government. By that argument, you should be in favor of murder and no prosecution for it, because hey, limited government! If you believe abortion is murder, then you logically are against it.
As Tomi herself argued not three months ago, when she was against abortion.

Some didn’t take that well, including her boss.
I’m assuming she just misspoke when she meant a constitutionalist. But a constitutionalist believes and holds sacred the principles of individual rights enshrined in the constitution. And if you believe that abortion is murder and that a pre-born baby is in fact alive then it’s inconsistent with those beliefs to say, hey, let it be my choice to kill him/her.
Tomi responded to the controversy:
“The chances of her being brought back [in September] were pretty near zero before yesterday,” a source told the Daily Caller. “[Whether Tomi remains at the company until September is] up in the air.”
But it looks like she may be heading out the door from The Blaze, if the sources being cited are true.
Tomi may be wrong on abortion, but she has brought attention to a lot of important principles of conservatism and gets people to listen in a world where so few people do.
