Fox News has officially fired their top star Bill O’Reilly. And he is making it known he is not going out without a fight.
Yesterday his lawyer Marc Kasowitz underlined this point by releasing a statement which made Bill seem like a victim of a witch hunt:
Bill O’Reilly has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.
This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by far-left organizations bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons.
That evidence will be put forth shortly and it is irrefutable.
What this “irrefutable” evidence consists of may still remain to be seen.
But perhaps Glenn Beck – a known associate and former tour mate of Bill’s – has already provided the evidence to which Bill’s lawyer alluded:

As the Daily Wire clarifies, this tweet shows the email from the “Bonner Group, a Left-wing fundraising activist group that works under Media Matters For America.
According to the Bonner letter Beck shared:
For years Bill O’Reilly has been one the worst purveyors of misinformation on Fox News. A serial misinformer, pushing many of the most extreme, sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic conservative theories on TV. Additionally, a bombshell New York Times investigation found that Fox News and Fox host Bill O’Reilly have paid $13 million to settle with five women who accused the host of repeated sexual harassment or verbal abuse. Thanks to Media Matters, O’Reilly and Fox News are being held accountable.
The email ends with information by which the email recipient “can join Media Matters President Angelo Carusone to hear about the success of the campaign so far, and our plans moving forward.”
Further giving credence to the “character assassination” charge is that the lawyer representing Dr. Wendy Walsh, who said Bill got her fired at Fox News after she refused to go back to his hotel room with him, and the unnamed African American clerical worker, who says Bill caller her “Hot Chocolate,” is Lisa Bloom.
One of the cases for which Lisa Bloom is best known is her attempt to represent a woman who claims she was raped by Donald Trump.
Oddly, this woman did not feel sufficiently compelled to come forward with this charge until days before Election Day some twenty years afterwards.
Bloom is also the daughter of attorney Gloria Allred, who is notorious for accusing Republican political candidates such as Herman Cain and Arnold Schwarzenegger of crimes very similar to the charges put against Bill O’Reilly.
As many will point out, Allred’s allegations invariably seemed timed to inflict harm to these Republicans’ campaigns rather than to seek justice for the alleged victims she represented at the time.
Now that the Bonner-Media Matters campaign to get O’Reilly fired has succeeded and the Left has gotten their “sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic” scalp, hopefully we will see if the sexual harassment charges put against Bill will continue to be pursued – or if these women will suddenly disappear, like these women who were represented by Allred and Bloom.
Because many are eager to learn how much of these charges are the result of Bill seeking thrills, and how much are the result of yet another campaign by the Left to discredit someone for leaning too far to the right.
