Everyone knows by now that Meryl Streep had an embarrassing meltdown at the Golden Globes and thought it would be fun to use her acceptance speech as an opportunity to bash Donald Trump.
She insulted Americans who like to watch football and UFC fights.
And she repeated the thoroughly debunked lie that Donald Trump mocked a reporter’s disability.
Here’s what Josh Earnest had to say about it…
From BizPac Review:
Earnest claimed he hadn’t spoken to lame-duck president Obama about Streep’s unhinged rant, but called it “thoughtful”:
I haven’t spoken to the president about her speech … She clearly was delivering a thoughtful, carefully considered message that she believes in deeply. It seemed to me to be a fairly straightforward exercise of her First Amendment rights as a citizen of the United States.
Apparently, the White House thinks it’s “thoughtful” to repeat lies and berate Americans who watch football and UFC when you are supposed to be accepting an award for making movies.
That’s code for, “We support what she said 100%”.
Hollywood harbors a deep amount of resentment and contempt towards conservatives and the White House clearly agrees with that sentiment.
Keep it up Meryl. Keep demonizing people who disagree with your liberal politics. Keep pretending you are better than the people in Middle America.
See where it gets you.
This mentality already lost you one presidential election and plenty more defeats are on the way if you don’t start paying attention and actually look something up once in awhile.
