There is no rational reason for Planned Parenthood to be propped up by the taxpayer to the tune of $500 million per year.

There is no reason why Planned Parenthood can’t raise money privately like every other non-profit in the country.  Planned Parenthood routinely lies about the services they provide, it is well documented that they harvest fetal tissue for a profit, and it’s a little strange that an organization that consistently gets caught covering up child rape would be propped up by the government.

On top of that, we don’t even need them.  There are thousands of health centers across the country that can provide even more services than they do minus the abortion part.  They could step in for Planned Parenthood tomorrow if you gave them the funding.

However, Democrats still fight tooth and nail to preserve the funding primarily because Planned Parenthood is also a liberal slush fund that pumps an obscene amount of money into their political campaigns.

It’s not just Democrats.  Republicans have fallen into the trap and bought into Planned Parenthood’s lies as well.

In fact, two Republican turncoats who sabotaged the Obamacare repeal and defied the wishes of the voters who gave them power may have done so simply to save the Planned Parenthood abortion factory.

From Townhall:

Two of the senators who singlehandedly derailed the skinny repeal of Obamacare were awarded a sit down interview with the admiring Dana Bash Friday on CNN. The bright faced journalist applauded Sens. Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) for having the “cajones” to vote against the Republican bill when they knew half the country would view them as heretics.

Part of standing up for their states, the senators argued, was protecting Planned Parenthood funding. Under the GOP bill, the massive pro-abortion organization would be defunded for a year.

“The issue of family planning services, cancer screenings, and women care probably does resonate with us more than it does with our male colleagues, and to me it was so unfair to single out one Medicaid provider and say to women in particular, ‘You can’t choose which health care provider you want to go to,’” Collins explained.

As I pointed out earlier, they are being incredibly dishonest here.

Planned Parenthood does not provide as many adoption referrals as they say they do. They do not provide mammograms like they say they do. And they are not honest about the services they provide in general.

It’s very unfortunate that these senators aren’t intelligent enough to see through the B.S. that Planned Parenthood routinely puts out.

But hey, that’s what we have elections for. These two senators voted to keep Obamacare which has been devastating for millions of Americans. Let’s see what the voters have to say about that next time around.

Why can’t we provide federal funding only to qualifying women’s health providers that don’t perform abortions?

Just…
