Democrats have been trying so hard to make Beto O’Rourke a thing.
They have been trying so hard to convince us that Ted Cruz is going to lose his Senate seat to a guy who fled the scene of a DUI crash and thinks kneeling for the flag is patriotic. Sadly for them, the reality is that radical liberals just don’t fly in Texas.
A new poll just confirmed that.
Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz leads Democrat challenger Beto O’Rourke 50 to 44 in a CBS YouGov poll conducted October 2-5.
The survey of 1,031 registered and likely Texas voters released Sunday showed Cruz with a six point lead over O’Rourke in the more recent CBS battleground tracker poll.
Democrat voters were motivated to vote out of opposition to President Donald Trump while Republican voters indicated their vote for U.S. Senate is motivated out of support for President Trump, according to CBS.
That’s a pretty comfortable lead for Ted. Not only that, Trump is expected to come campaign for Ted.
President Donald Trump is planning a “major rally” this fall for his onetime campaign foe, Sen. Ted Cruz, in the “biggest stadium” he can find, the president announced on Twitter Friday afternoon.
Cruz (R-Tx.) is gearing up for what has been billed as an increasingly competitive election against against Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke in November. The race is tighter than anticipated, and Republicans are on the offensive, making plans for a major television ad campaign and squeezing donors for cash.
Hard to imagine anyone beating Ted Cruz especially if Trump shows up.
