There were plenty of great moments from the ’60 Minutes’ Steve Bannon interview.
Charlie Rose was outmatched from start to finish and the interview serves as a perfect example of the disconnect between Trump votes and the media elites.
We told you earlier about Bannon’s epic takedown of Hillary Clinton.
Another moment is getting some attention and it has to do with Mitch McConnell.
From The Daily Caller:
According to Bannon — who was ousted from the administration in late August — the Kentucky Republican told the president his messaging was preventing him from hiring qualified people.
“Oh, Mitch McConnell when we first met him, I mean, he said — I think in one of the first meetings in Trump Tower with the President — as we’re wrapping up, he basically says, ‘I don’t want to hear any more of this ‘drain-the-swamp’ talk,’” Bannon said during an appearance on “60 Minutes” Sunday. “He says, ‘I can’t, I can’t hire any smart people because everybody’s all over him for reporting requirements and, and the pay, et cetera, and the scrutiny. You know, you gotta back off that.’”
I don’t have trouble believing that for a second. Do you?
McConnell is the swamp. He represents everything wrong with DC politics today.
If you weren’t convinced he’s part of the problem you should be on board after this.
Time to #DitchMitch.
Here’s the clip.
