Donald Trump finally pulled the trigger and got rid of James Comey.
It was the right move. No question.
Tucker Carlson elaborated on that better than I ever could.
Now, the media is speculating on who will replace Comey.
According to reports, a front-runner has emerged.
Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee, is the front-runner to be named FBI director, according to several White House officials and advisers.
Senior administration officials have told others in the last 12 hours that Trump is expected to pick Lieberman to replace FBI director James Comey, who was abruptly fired by Trump last week.
Granted, it’s Politico so you have to take the report with a grain of salt. However, it’s looking pretty likely that the White House is leaning toward this guy.
The only problem I see here is that Joe is a partisan guy. Ideally, you want a guy running the FBI who is above politics.
At the same time, I don’t really have any reason to dislike him other than the fact his politics are wrong. The people elected Trump and if Trump likes him then that’s how it works.
Definitely a little skeptical though.
We will see how it goes.
Who would you guys like to see appointed?
