Tucker Carlson went missing from his show on Thursday night.
And the reason wasn’t great.
He went to his doctor after suffering from a fever. The doctor determined he had an appendicitis and had to be taken to the hospital.
He missed the airing of his own interview with the father of Otto Warmbier, as well as the Congressional baseball game which he had been scheduled to cover.
Ed Henry took over for Carlson on Thursday and Dana Perino took over on Friday.
Carlson has become something of the ‘iron man’ hub for Fox News, with the departure of so many others from the network.
In April, after Bill O’Reilly was fired from Fox News, Carlson took over his 8 p.m. ET time slot. Although he has not yet reached O’Reilly’s consistent 3 million plus viewers, he has been wildly successful in his own right, with an average of about 2.9 million viewers, according to Western Journalism, making him the most-watched host on the network.
Fox representatives said, “He is in good spirits and expects to back on the air soon.”
Many wished him well and a speedy recovery, including CNN’s Jake Tapper.

But some on the left were less than polite.
If I were an internal organ I'd want to get the F out of Tucker too

He is not anticipated to be sidelined for too long.
Get better soon, Tucker! You’re very much needed!
