Hezbollah is not a terror group. Sounds like something you’d hear from numerous members of the Obama administration.
This apparently comes from President Trump’s National Security Adviser, H.R. McMaster.
From Arutz Sheva:
A new bombshell report alleges that a meeting between high-level Israeli officials and their American counterparts last month deteriorated when National Security Adviser H.R McMaster brushed off Israel’s concerns about Hezbollah, at one point backing up an aide who denied that Hezbollah is a terror organization.
According to the report on Channel 10 and PJ Media, McMaster yelled at Israeli officials, and denied that the Iran-backed militia is a terrorist group.
Israeli had sent a high-level delegation to meet with their American counterparts on August 27, in order to discuss the looming threat by the Hezbollah terror group. Israel is worried that the militia is becoming entrenched on its Syrian border, and were incensed with McMaster brought along NSC Senior Director on Counter-Terrorism Mustafa Javed Ali, even asking her to leave the room when she denied that Hezbollah is a terror group.
More from PJ Media:
Sources reported that McMaster went on to explicitly dismiss the Israelis’ specific concerns about Hezbollah.
In particular, the Israelis expressed concern that the “safe zone” currently being established within Syria — an idea that had been vociferously supported by Hezbollah’s sponsor, Iran — would immediately become a safe zone for Hezbollah to operate.
McMaster was said to “blow off” this major Israeli concern, and to be “yelling at the Israelis” during the meeting.
It was reported not long ago that McMaster is opposing “everything” Trump wants to do.
McMaster is also allowing former NSA chief Susan Rice to continue receiving classified documents even after knowing she unmasked several Trump associates.
Needless to say, many conservatives aren’t happy with McMaster at the moment.
Trump spoke out last month and confirmed that McMaster won’t be leaving the NSA in the near future. He’s safe for now.
However, we recently learned that McMaster worked at a think tank which was backed by a George Soros-Funded group that helped sell Barack Obama’s Iranian nuclear deal to the public.
